January 18, 1947 – December 8, 2024
Glenn Charles Preisler, Age 77, of Hortonville, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his residence. Glenn was born on January 18, 1947, son of the late Leonard and Lillian (Spiegelberg) Preisler. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathleen Vander Linden, in Appleton on May 9, 1970. Glenn lived and farmed in the Hortonville area all of his life. He enjoyed working the land and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He also enjoyed going out to eat, watching movies, spending time with his family, music (esp. live music), trains, visiting with friends and neighbors, and eating his sweets.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Boughton (Erick), two grandchildren, Elizabeth and William, sister, Joan Gitter, sister-in-law Angeline Preisler, and many other relatives and friends.
His wife Kathy, brother Roland Preisler, brother-in-law Jerome Gitter, and parents preceded him in death.
The Funeral Service for Glenn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville with Rev. Kevin Westra officiating. The visitation will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. AT THE CHURCH and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank the many dear friends and relatives who remembered Glenn, especially over the past few years, with cards, visits, rides, prayers, support, and kindness. We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. We would also like to thank the staff at Monarch Meadows, ThedaCare at Home Hospice, Synergy Homecare, LivHome Care, and other helpers who were so caring and helpful to Glenn and our family.
Glenn was a devoted husband, father, Grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He very much enjoyed providing and caring for his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
