Harland E. Schroeder, age 93, Greenville, passed away into the loving care of his gracious Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Harland was born on April 18, 1929 to the late Elmer and Mabel (Seifert) Schroeder. He was united in marriage to MarJean Schroeder at Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton. After high school, Harland worked on the family farm, in Greenville. Eventually, he took a job at Miller Electric and worked there for nearly 40 years. Harland was active in his church-holding many positions at Immanuel Lutheran, Greenville. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren. He loved card playing and was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan. Harland and MarJean were travelers. Together, they visited many of the lower United States, as well as Alaska, Hawaii and Europe.
Harland is survived by a daughter, Karen (Joe) Berken and a son, Rick (Becky) Schroeder; grandchildren, Josh (Jen) Berken and their children, Finley and Harlow, Heather (Mike) Geer and their children, Ava and Korbin, Nick (Jen) Berken and their children, Ariana Juarez and Kai, Steph (Jim) Campbell, and their children, Greyson, Kaden and Ruby; Ryan Schroeder, Nikki (Lou) Schroeder-Braatz, Jared Schroeder and Eric (Makenna Ellis) Schroeder and a sister-in-law, Marion Schroeder. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, a sister Ruby Schroeder, and a grandson Robert Berken.
The funeral service for Harland will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Appleton
The family wishes to thank the staff at Living Tree in Greenville for their loving care and compassion given to Harland.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
