Henrietta's Funeral Service Video

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Henrietta Mae Kent, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the age of 96, surrounded by those she loved. Henrietta was born in Split Rock, Wisconsin on April 13, 1928 to the late Robert and Amelia (Bennen) Casper. She married Dick Kent on April 30, 1949 in New London, and they were blessed with six children and 35 years together until Dick's passing on July 31, 1984.

Henrietta worked for McDonalds for many years and she also cleaned houses for several area families. She was a hard worker who loved to work. She cared deeply for others as well, even assisting in the care of several friends with disabilities. She was a humanitarian with pets and any other animal that came on to her property. She enjoyed walking, dining out and swimming. She liked going on bus trips all across the country in her younger years and traveled to many places with her son Steve.

Henrietta will be greatly missed by her children, Steven Kent (Lynn), Michael (Sherrie) Kent, Jeffrey Kent (Jill), Daniel (Tammy) Kent, and Jonathan (Nancy) Kent; grandchildren, Tina, Steve, Heather, Jonathan, Kyle, Kerry, Ted, Nathan, Jeffrey, Josh, Jennie, Jaymi, Jason, and Marissa; her sisters, Dianna Retkowski and Donna Houg; along with numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Amelia; her husband, Dick; son, Garry; siblings, Celeste Radke, Dolores Schoening, Iris Eggert, Arvil Casper, Donald Casper, Robert Casper; in-laws, Gilbert Kent, George Kent Jr., Mae Gutoski, Shirley Kent, and Alice Kent.

The Memorial Service for Henrietta will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Readfield with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
