Obituary

Holly passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 70 in her home, surrounded by her family. On March 14, 1955, she was the third of five daughters born to Robert (Bob) and Bernice (Kraut) Rindt. Holly was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, Wisconsin. She graduated from Hortonville High School, Class of '73. Holly was united in marriage to Michael C. Olk on August 10, 1974, celebrating 50 years of marriage in August 2024. Holly spent her life working several different jobs in and around the Hortonville Community, but her favorite and most important job was being an amazing mother and grandmother.

Holly was an avid golfer. You could always find her and Mike on a golf course with family or friends, and she looked forward to golfing with all of the ladies on Monday night league. She enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, swimming, and cross-stitching sentimental gifts for her grandchildren. Holly will be remembered for her ability to make people laugh. She lived for ensuring other people were happy, and she had fun entertaining countless family and friends with Mike in their basement.

Holly and Mike had three wonderful children, and seven incredible grandchildren. They were truly her pride and joy. It was extremely important to Holly that she created events, experiences, and traditions to bring us together and keep family close…always. Mike and Holly achieved this through summer weeks spent at cottages, Februarys in Orange Beach, and endless holiday traditions with memories to last through generations.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael C. Olk, her children, Sarah Olk, Melissa (John) Cummings, Bernard (Kristin) Olk, and her grandchildren, Allison, Thomas, William, Casey, Carley, Olive and Ira.

She is further survived by her sisters Lory (Dave) Hass, Appleton, and Jane (Kevin) Sambs, Hortonville, her mother-in-law June Olk, in-laws Tim (Dianne) Olk, Hortonville, Patricia Neuman, Neenah, Joan (Jeff) Griesbach, Hortonville, Jim (Barb) Olk, Shawano, Bethany Olk, Appleton, special god-son, Adam Hass, Appleton, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Rindt, Hortonville, sister Kathy Reiland, Freedom, sister Roberta Rindt, Hortonville, nephew Jamie Reiland, Freedom, father-in-law Charles Olk, Hortonville, and sister-in-law Margaret (Michael Heinle) Olk.
