Obituary

Hooch Jethro Schoepke, born on May 25, 2017 into the family of Andrew and Angela Schoepke, passed away on April 18, 2025. Hooch’s adoption was a great miracle as he was picked up during a tornado storm in Iola. He was only 8 weeks old but over time he grew, grew, and grew some more, becoming a strong big boy who not only had enormous paws but also an enormous heart of love.

Hooch being an English Mastif, was not afraid to show his strength in protection or in greeting visitors at the door. Hooch was known to wrestle down his human brothers when they stopped in at home. Hooch loved to sit on people, rest his head on people’s heads, stealing shoes and pillows to cuddle with and having his favorite pillow and bed to sleep. Even though Hooch was known to eat everything from couches, socks, otherfurniture, Hooch was the great calming comforter who helped his family in the tough moments of life. He was truly a emotional support that will be deeply missed. His family could not have asked for a better dog.

Hooch is survived by his human parents Andrew and Angela; dog sister, Alexis “Lexis” Marie.
