Jacqueline M. Pankow, age 93 of Hortonville, passed away peacefully at Dimensions Assisted Living on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Jackie was born on May 2, 1929 to the late Raymond and Viola (Roberts) Scholl. The chapters of Jackie's life were written in Hortonville. She grew up in Hortonville-attending Hortonville Schools and graduating with the class of 1946. On June 4, 1949, she married Melvin Pankow at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. He preceded her in death in 2015. Together, they started their family and built a life. Aside from homemaking and motherhood, Jackie worked for the U.S. Post Office. Working at the Hortonville Post Office for many years, she retired as the assistant Post Master. Jackie was an avid bowler and golfer. She held memberships on league teams over the years. Jackie was also a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Ladies Aide as well as the Commercial Club of Hortonville. Jackie loved card playing and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a fan of the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.
Jackie is survived by her children: Richard "Rick" (Dolores) Pankow and Robin (Jan) Pankow; grandchildren: Chris (Vicki Luttenberger), Scott, Julie, Michael and Jessica Pankow; Stacy (Todd) Jens and Stephanie (Rudy) Thompson; Patrick (Trisha) Faulks and Peggy (James) Bennett and great-grandchildren: Megan and Samuel Pankow, Sydney and Haley Jens, Wyatt and Blaize Thompson and Isla and Charlotte Bennett. She is further survived by son-in-law, Thomas Faulks and sister-in-law, Florence Scholl along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughter, Patti Faulks; sister, Connie (Ken) Radichel and brother, Rollyn Scholl.
The Christian Funeral for Jackie will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church in Hortonville (752 East Grandview Road) with Rev. Kevin Westra officiating. A visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Hortonville.
