Jan Pankow's Funeral Service Video

On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Jan Karen Pankow of New London, Wisconsin, passed away at the age of 87 years. Jan was born in Los Angeles, California on October 6, 1937, to the late Chester and Dorothy (Hoier) Peterson. She married Glen Pankow on August 12, 1961, enjoying almost 63 years together, until his passing in March of 2024. Jan was a retired medical transcriptionist and a long time member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Jan is survived by her children, Laura (Dallas) Britt, Mark (Sheri) Pankow, Roger (Liz) Pankow, and Rev. Joel (Bekah) Pankow; along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Jan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen; parents, Chester and Dorothy; brother, Robert and Sharon Peterson; infant daughter, Jessica Kay; and stepfather, Ted Algiers.

The Funeral Service for Jan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

A Memorial Fund has been established for Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London.
