Jan Vollmer's Funeral Mass Video

Jan Mary (Schertz) Vollmer, age 63, of Clintonville, Wisconsin, passed away at home on Tuesday, September, 5, 2023 after a significant battle with cancer. Jan was born on August 19, 1960 to the late Donald and Phyllis (Mentzel) Schertz.  On February 1, 2008, Jan took Gerald Vollmer's hand in marriage and they quickly became a family of five.

Jan worked in healthcare and she was very crafty. She liked painting, decorating, crocheting, gardening, and especially tending to her flower beds. She loved her large yard and she absolutely loved her two pugs, Violet and Buffy. She was an outgoing and very social person who enjoyed camping with family and friends. Jan was a loving wife and mother and she will be greatly missed.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Vollmer; her son, Jeremiah (Fiance, Kimberly) Ogurek; step-daughter, Sara (Chad) Schroeder; step-son, Travis (Marcella) Vollmer; siblings, Sally Norder, Joan (Tom) Lehman, Gerri Schertz, Jeff (Tammy) Schertz; grandchildren, Alexis, Ryley, Gunner, Jaiden, Collin, Grant, Brody; great-grandchildren, Luciana, Luna, Layla.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dick Schertz; and her brother in-law, Jim Norder.

The family would like to thank the ThedaCare Hospital staff in Shawano and ThedaCare At Home and ThedaCare Hospice. They would also like to thank the friends and family who provided compassionate care to Jan over the years, and a special thank you to her husband, Jerry, who was her main caregiver, which allowed Jan to remain at home until her passing.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Jan will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek, with Fr. Simon Minyati officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
