Jane Ellen Jonas, age 68, of Hazelhurst, WI, passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. Jane was born in Wausau, WI on October 31st, 1954 to Duane and Barbara (Waraksa) Pyan. She married Jacob Jonas in Wausau, WI on July 1st, 1972 and together they had three children, Alan, Amy and Jeremy.

Jane became an OB registered nurse in 1995 and worked for the Wausau Hospital, Howard Young Hospital in Minoqua and also Marshfield Clinic in Rhinelander.

Jane loved her dogs, arts and crafts, going fishing. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycle riding with her sister.

Jane is survived by her mother, Barb Pyan; children Alan (Holly) Jonas, Amy Saari and Jeremy (Kelly) Jonas; grandchildren, Jazmin Jonas, Jada Jonas, Grayson Saari and Mathias Saari. She is further survived by her sisters, Linda (Pete) Meyer, Connie (Jeff) Brodjeski and Gail (Rick) Dobrzynski.

Jane was preceded in death by her father, Duane Pyan; and her husband, Jacob Jonas.

A celebration of Jane's life will be held at a later date, which will be published on the funeral home website.
