Jeanine Netzel's Funeral Service Video

Jeanine Eunice (Zimmerman) Netzel, age 81, formerly of New London, passed on Wednesday, April 17 at Forest Glen Assisted Living in Seymour, Wisconsin.  Jeanine was born on April 25, 1942 in New London to the late Ralph and Bernice (Prahl) Zimmerman.  She was known as a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and much more.  Jeanine loved gardening, dancing, reading, traveling, bowling and the Packers.  However, most importantly, Jeanine loved her family.  She graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1960 and went straight into the workforce at AAL.  She was united in marriage to Ralph Netzel (M. 1966-1992) and adopted their four children, who were her pride and joy. Jeanine was excited to fulfill her dream of being a mother and was able to stay at home with her young children.  After the children were older, she went back into the workforce at Curwood/Bemis.  Jeanine later decided to pursue her dream of graduating college with her Bachelor of Science degree from Marian University on December 16, 2000.  After college, she helped facilitate numerous adoptions with Bethany Christian Services, something she was very passionate about.

Jeanine is survived by her children, Bridget (Paul) Magadanz, Rebecca Netzel and Benjamin (Julia) Netzel; grandchildren, Alexis, Andrew, Aidan, Zoe, Ariel, Acacia and Amber; great-grandchild, Navi and her siblings, Janette (Vernon) Ossmann and Mavis Plotz.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley Netzel and her siblings, Leo, John and Dennis Zimmerman and Betty Milton.

The Funeral Service for Jeanine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Chuck Thompson officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.

The family wishes to thank Forest Glen Assisted Living and Compassus for their compassion and care for Jeanine during her battle with Alzheimers.
