Jerry's Funeral Service Video

Jerry L. Meyer, age 74 of New London passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.  Jerry was born on November 28, 1949 to Deforest and Valoise Meyer.  He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War from 1968 – 1973. Jerry was honorably discharged as a sergeant in the US Air Force. He deeply loved his family, friends and his country.  Jerry enjoyed fishing and boating.  He was an expert cabinet maker and loved taking motorcycle rides.  Above all, Jerry looked forward to getting together with his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Dorene (Steward) Meyer; children, Becky Moscinski (Josh), Jesse (Annee) Meyer, BillieJo Riske (Doug) and Jake Meyer (Phyllis Brandenburg); grandchildren, Chase Moscinski, Zoe Zander, Zayden Meyer, Michael and Hayley Riske; his mother, Valoise and sister, Betty Lou Seegers.  He is further survived by his loving puppies, Rosie and Tina, along with other family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Deforest Meyer; his mother and father-in-law, Vivian and Ronald Steward and his grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Hatten Park in New London. The service will conclude with military honors.

The family wishes to thank nurse, Taleigh and nurse, Erica for all the wonderful care given to Jerry and the love and support to the family during this difficult time.
