Jerry F. Werbelow, of New London, WI passed away Friday, July 10, 2026 at the age of 73.

He was born September 18, 1952 to the late Harvey and Joyce (DeBraal) Werbelow. On November 7, 1970 he married his high school sweetheart Simone Smith, having shared almost 56 years of marriage together.

After high school, Jerry went on to serve in the United States Army, and then went on to work as a machinist for Curwood R.E. & D. He also worked as a car salesman and in trucking. Outside of his career, Jerry enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, woodworking, and glass fusion. Some would call him a jack of all trades. If a family member or friend wanted something, he would make it. He would start many random jobs, and as soon as he was finished, it was right on to the next project. He was a true MacGyver. He had a love of cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, or anything that could move fast. Drive fast and take chances!

Jerry was the kind of guy who would try to make a joke of everything just to lighten the mood. He was often called the “Egyptian” for constantly denying how things were. Jerry would do anything for anyone, often saying “Don’t even know ya!”. He took pride in having not shaved since 1976.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Simone; his children Julie “The Junkyard Dog” (Don) Bosquez, Carrie (Cory) Kluge; his grandchildren Sarah (Caleb) Abrahamson, Daniel Bosquez, Abby Kluge (Emerik Handschke), and Lauren Kluge; and his great-grandchildren Anna, Olivia and Mackenzie. He is further survived by his siblings Denis Werbelow, Mary Aldinger, Ron Werbelow, and Margie Mullen.

Jerry is proceeded in death by his parents Harvey and Joyce.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Appleton for their care of Jerry.
