Joanne Jane (Burton) Finger, 82, born October 4, 1939 to Matthew and Evelyn (Doughty) Burton, was born into eternal life December 31, 2021. Although she loved her family and friends, she longed for Jesus to reunite her with her husband and best friend of 38 years, Robert "Bob" Julius Finger, who entered into eternal life in November of 2020.

A New London High School Class of 1957 graduate, Joanne, a.k.a. "Aunt Flash," known for documenting events with her camera, was an exceptional homemaker, cook, golfer, and gardener. She also was a successful bowler, having held several series high scores and tournament wins. She and Bob were united in marriage on May 1, 1982, and resided on the Finger Road family farm until 1998, then in a home nearby until July of 2020. The couple enjoyed their vacation home and many "snowbird" friends for several years in Apache Junction, Arizona, and many friends in Wisconsin as they cheered on the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, and the Green Bay Packers. It was a usual occurrence to find Joanne in her favorite place – the kitchen – while she listened to sporting events.

Joanne worked at the Press Star newspaper and O.K. Credit before finishing business classes at Fox Valley Technical College. In November 1980, she accepted a clerical position for the Purchasing Department at Air Wisconsin, and in 1993 advanced to a position as Accounting Assistant. She rounded out her career at Air Wisconsin as an Accounts Payable Specialist in October of 2000, where she worked until her retirement in June of 2001. She enjoyed her work, especially because of the quality friendships she developed over the years with coworkers. After retirement until 2020, she and Bob worked side by side for various crops insurance companies.

Survivors include three children from her previous marriage to Stanley Brigham:  Matt (special friend, Laura) of Stevens Point, Andy (Sue) of New London, and Ann (Ron) Chrudinsky of Tomahawk. The couple's fourth child, Darrell, 4, passed away in 1968. Other survivors include brothers and sisters: Annette (Maynard) Rosenberg, Barbara Redman, Connie Coe, Nathan (Mary) Burton, Dennis (Colleen) Burton, and Duane (Gerilynn) Burton, and brother-in-law Richard (Sally) Finger; grandchildren: Jeremy Brigham, Jessica (Adam) Dixon, Adam (Alyse) Giacalone, Alex (Mariah) Giacalone, Nick Breiting (special friend, Amanda), and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, Bob, and her son, Darrell, are her brother, Arlin, grandson, Benjamen Breiting, and brother-in-law, Roger Redman.

The family is especially grateful to the hardworking staff at Trinity Terrace and Heartland Hospice care, for their compassionate support provided to "Miss Joanne" while she was entrusted to them until she entered peacefully into Jesus' arms.
