JoAnne Kuppernus' Funeral Service Video

JoAnne A. (Ehlke) Kuppernus, age 81, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away at St. Joseph's Residence on Tuesday, September, 5, 2023 surrounded by family. JoAnne was born on March 20, 1942 to the late Walter "Doc" and Ester (Schellin) Ehlke. JoAnne graduated from New London High School in 1960 where she met the love of her life Jerry Kuppernus. They were united in marriage on September 16, 1961. Both JoAnne and Jerry wanting children in their life were in the process of adopting when they were blessed with three boys. JoAnne worked for AAL, and as an aide for Lincoln and Emanuel Grade Schools where she impacted the lives of many children with helping their growth in education. She also worked at J&S Shoes and Boots, New London Pharmacy, and Wal-Mart as a Department Manager. JoAnne was a dedicated lifetime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Ladies Evening Circle. JoAnne's true passion in life was raising and caring for her family.

JoAnne is survived by her husband Jerry Kuppernus; sons, Todd Kuppernus (special friend Noreen Scruton), Troy (Liz) Kuppernus; grandchildren who she helped raise, Candace (Josh) Robbins, Konnor Kuppernus, Tyler Kuppernus, Riley Kuppernus; great-grandchilren, Grayson Robbins, Brynlee Robbins; brother, Jim Ehlke.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; beloved son, Tim; sister-in-law, Sharon Ehlke.

Christian Burial for JoAnne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Readfield immedietely following the service.
