Berrens Sr.
May 1, 1955 – December 18, 2023
John Joseph Berrens Sr., age 68 of the Town of Center, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 in Neenah. John was born on May 1, 1955 to Joe and Beatrice (Sweere) Berrens. John graduated from Hortonville High School with the class of 1973. He enjoyed going to auctions, especially tractor auctions, cutting firewood, shooting pool and dirt track racing. In his younger years, John worked construction as a heavy machine operator. He was an over the road truck driver the last 10 years of his life. John was proud of the land he owned and took care of it well. He loved nothing more than time with family – his children and grandchildren were his greatest source of pride!
John is survived by his mother, Beatrice; his children, Cindy (Jim) Billington, Michelle (Ben) Billington, Tony (MaryAnn) Berrens and John (Kelly) Berrens; grandchildren, Brittaney (Nate) Schuelke, Hunter (Teal) Billington, Remington (Tyisha) Reeck, Mikyla Reeck, Jaelyn Reeck, Colton Reeck, Jaydlynn Billington, Broc Billington, Lily Berrens, Tristan Berrens, Trista Ritchie and Addison Berrens; great-grandchildren, Letty, Freya, Aliyah, Layla, Amara and Payton; his siblings, Joan Baumgart, Jeffrey (Jackie), Donald (Elizabeth) and Gary (Julie) and special friends, Russ, Scott and Dan.
John was preceded in death by his father, Joe; brothers, James and Paul and grandson, Gunner Billington.
A Prayer Service for John will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Kevin Dembinski presiding.
