John Howard Michael Samz, age 90 of Shiocton, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.  John was born on July 18, 1933 to the late Joseph and Flora (Herminath) Samz.  He married Emily Rogers on July 2, 1955 in Green Bay.  John was a storyteller and will be remembered for his tall tales.  He loved hunting and was an avid fisherman and fished every body of water in his path!  His grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren adored him.  John was well known for his trademark orange spray paint – he painted everything and anything with it.

John is survived by his wife of 68 years, Emily; his children, Jane Samz (special friend, Randall Crist), Terry Samz- Watters, Rick Samz (special friend, Lynn) and Randy (Robin) Samz; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and also several sisters and brothers-in-law.
