Joyce A. Ernisse, age 74, of Shiocton, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Joyce was born in Crandon, on April 12, 1949 to the late Alfred Derickson and Rita (Richard) Singer. She married Lloyd Ernisse on November 21, 1970.

Joyce was a registered nurse and worked in the medical field for 35 years. She also helped children at the Shiocton Elementary School with reading and spelling. She liked to cross stitch and crochet in her free time. Joyce was so loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd; daughters, Peggy (Eric) Davis, Laurie (Dean) Daul, and Jill (Thomas) Leopold; grandchildren, Kathrine (Joshua) Weber, Derrek (Shelby) Davis, Cody (Melissa) Daul, Blaz (Victoria) Daul, Lila Daul, Lucy Daul, Alyssa Leopold, Cortny Leopold, Evan Leopold; great-grandchildren, Charlie Davis, Aubree Davis, Stella Weber; brothers, Lee (Debbie) Derickson and Joey Singer; sister in-law, Jean (John) Diedrich; brother in-law, Dale (Kristine) Ernisse, and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Alfred and step-mother, Betty Derickson; her mother, Rita and step-father, Joseph Singer; in-laws, Walter and Rose Ernisse; her brother, DuWayne Derickson; and brother in-law, Leroy Ernisse.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice for the compassion and care shown to Joyce.
