Judith L.
Kusserow
September 6, 1948 – April 29, 2025
Judith L. Kusserow, age 76 of New London passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Judith was born on September 6, 1948 in New London to the late Harvey and Lila (Thorn) Bradley. She married David Kusserow, her high school sweetheart, on November 9, 1968 at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Judy graduated from New London High School with the Class of 1966 and went onto Patricia Stevens Career College in Milwaukee. Following that, she went to work as a secretary for the Dean at Marquette University until David returned from the service. Upon his return, they moved home and were married. After being blessed with children, she went on to work various retail jobs, and also was a secretary for a credit union in New London and worked as a medical transcriptionist. Judy enjoyed canning, gardening, camping up north and later in life, sewing. She made countless quilts for family and friends over the years. Above all she loved time with her family. She spent all the time she could with her grandkids – singing and reading to them. She and David lived in Alaska for over 45 years, where they did a lot of volunteering at church.
Judith is survived by her husband, David; children, Rebecca (Michael) Gryboski and Brenda Joyner; grandchildren, Mary, Holly, Trinity, Natalie, Thomas, Nicholas, Jasmine and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Elee; and her sister, Elizabeth (Michael) Smith.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her grandson, Sean; her brother, James and brother-in-law, Roger.
The Memorial Service for Judith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
