Judi's Funeral Service

Judith M. Thoma, age 70, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022.  She was born on April 6, 1951, in Ellison Bay, daughter of the late John and Frances (Meyer) Kopitzke.  She graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1973.  She was married to Steven Thoma on June 24, 1977.  He preceded her in death in 2020.

Judi loved music and was an organist at her church, Emanuel Lutheran, New London.  She taught elementary school at Peace Lutheran, Green Lake, and at Emanuel Lutheran, New London, pre-kindergarten through 4 ^th grade; and most recently she tutored at Dyslexia Reading Connection in Appleton.

Judi is survived by her adopted son Adam; beloved springer spaniel Presley; siblings: Lon (Ruth Ann) Kopitzke, Ruth Kaufman (George Mracna) Grace (Glen) Rossman, and Gerry (Barbara) Kopitzke; brother-in-law Bob Dailey, sisters-in-law, Joanne Thoma, Karen (Wilfred) Grieser, and Glenna (Tom) Bleck.  She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother-in-law Doug Thoma and a sister-in-law Kaylene Dailey.

Funeral services for Judi will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be in the Ruckdashel Cemetery, Town of Lebanon.
