Karen Rueckl's Funeral Mass Video Karen Joanne Rueckl "Cookie" age 74 of Hortonville, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, peacefully at home with her family at her side.  Karen was born in Colorado Springs on December 7, 1947, to the late Carolyn Bartley.  She was united in marriage to Randall Rueckl on March 5, 1988.  They met in Menasha, where they built their lives together before they moved to their home in Hortonville.  Karen worked at Central Paper for 25 years while raising her two daughters on her own.  She later started her own successful business until she and Randy moved to Hortonville, where she coordinated funeral dinners for the church.  Karen lived life to the fullest!  She also enjoyed gardening, canning, cards, casinos, board games, dancing, and of course the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.  All that you had to do is meet Karen and she was your friend.  Her warmth and smile will be deeply missed.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Randall; two awesome daughters, Adina (Eric) Mayer and Denise Cropp; five grandchildren, Carissa, Anaisa, Hayden (Madison), Erika and A.J.; two great-grandchildren, Diem and Xander; mother-in-law, Emily Rueckl; siblings, Jumbo, Edie, Carol Jean, Diana, Sharon and Dennis.

Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy; mother and father, Carolyn and Ronald Bartley and brother, Franky "Porky", along with many other special relatives.

The funeral mass for Karen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church (105 N. Olk St.) in Hortonville with Fr. Phil Schoofs officiating.  The visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
