Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Preisler, age 73 of Hortonville, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024.  Kathy was born on January 20, 1951 in Appleton to the late Robert and Stella (DeBoth) Vander Linden.  She worked as a farmer for over 40 years. She loved cats and volunteered as a 4H Cat Leader for many years. Kathy also volunteered for the AAA Pregnancy Resource Center (now known as the Hope Center) in Appleton, as well as in the Activity Department at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center, where she led the card game "Sheepshead". Kathy enjoyed playing cards, bowling, swimming, singing, playing guitar, spending time with family (which included her many cats), cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and watching TV. She was very kind-hearted and generous and loved giving gifts. She would often strike up conversations with complete strangers when out and about, trying to brighten up their day with a smile, a kind word, or even a hug. Kathy loved her family and helping others. Kathy also loved her Lord. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and would spend whatever time was needed to pray for all of the people on her prayer list.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Laura (Erick) Boughton; grandchildren, Elizabeth and William Boughton and her siblings, Judith Linden, Paul Vander Linden, Daniel (Sandy) Vander Linden, Mark (Sue) Vander Linden, George (Mary) Vander Linden and Antonette (Chuck) Sample.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister, Frances McGinnis.

The Funeral Service for Kathy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville with Rev. Tristan Paustian officiating. The visitation will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. AT THE CHURCH and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family would like to thank the many dear friends and relatives who remembered Kathy, especially over the past few years, with cards, visits, rides, prayers, support, and kindness. Your thoughtfulness was very special to us.  We would also like to thank the staff at Monarch Meadows, who were so caring and helpful to Kathy while she was there.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She very much enjoyed raising and caring for her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
