Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kay M. Geiss, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 85. Kay was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, on August 4, 1940, to the late Fred and Lovine (Schuh) Knapp. She married Charles Geiss on August 25, 1962. They enjoyed over 39 years together before Charles was laid to rest in 2001.
Kay worked as an accountant for Hillshire Farm in New London. She was a hard worker, but in her free time, she enjoyed golf, playing cards with her friends, and volunteering at the Hortonville Food Pantry and New London Hospital. More than anything else in the whole wide world, though, Kay loved her family and cherished every moment she could spend with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
Kay will be deeply missed by her daughters, Coleen (Chuck) Kettner and Julie (Rick) Wunderlich; her grandchildren, Adam (Alicia) Kettner, Ashley (Kenny) Coe, Abagail (Travis) Parker, Bailey (Levi) Lambie, and Jenna (Jacob) Friday; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Henry, Harper, Harlo, Miles, Charli, Lyla, Nile, and Rory; along with her brother, David (Patti) Knapp, and many other relatives and friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Fred and Lovine; and numerous other relatives.
To honor Kay's wishes, a private family service will be held.
