Kenneth W.
Hock
January 18, 1942 – November 17, 2025
Kenneth W. Hock, age 83, of New London, Wisconsin, was called to his heavenly home on November 17, 2025, while surrounded by loved ones.
Born January 18, 1942, in Green Bay to Alexander and Violet Hock, Ken grew up working on the family farm and left for the Air Force. After his father's death from cancer, Ken was honorably discharged from the Air Force so he could return home to run the farm and care for his family. Following his military service, he went on to a long career as a USDA meat inspector for Packerland, Oscar Mayer, and Hillshire Farms until his retirement in 2004.
Ken lived a life rich in love, faith, and devotion. On May 16, 1984, he married the love of his life, Ruth Berkhahn at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Together they built a family that was the center of Ken's world. His enormous heart overflowed with affection for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them- sharing stories, laughter, wisdom, making sure the candy bowl was always full, baking his favorite cookies, and giving endless rides on his favorite zero-turn lawn mower.
Ken was a man of deep faith whose life reflected his belief in love, service, and compassion for others.
Ken is survived by his wife Ruth Hock; children Clint Hock, Renee (Jeff) Tassoul, Dennis (Cindy) Berkhahn, Rhonda (David) Wentzel; Siblings Wendy (Dave) Vercateren, Jim (Barb) Hock, Tina (Norb) Rottier; Grandchildren, Heidi McKeever (Special friend Rick Barber), Jarid (Jill) McKeever, Kody (Kylie) Berkhahn, Brock (Tara) Berkhahn, Tanner (India) Berkhahn, Erin Hock Buhle, Gabby Gladhart, Remington (Michelle) Hock, Whitney Skenandore, Alli Smits, Miriah Hock; Great Grandchildren, Kayla-Ann Buckarma (Special friend Sam Laatsch), Kaitlyn Buckarma, Kirstyn (Micah) Nichols, Audrey (Josh) Gray, Brianna McKeever (Fiancée Landon Chrudinsky); And the Berkhahn Great-grandchildren, Kaeden, Keegan, Vayda, Griffin, Quinn, Brylee, and Kinsley; The Hock Great-grandchildren Elodie, Elijah, and Rylen; Great-Great-Grandchildren, Kyler Cason, Hadleigh Cason, Everleigh Cason, Colby Nichols, & expected Camden Nichols.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Violet Hock, son Kenny Hock, siblings Carol Becks, Betty Peters, and Rodger Hock.
A Funeral Service will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025. Family and friends will gather from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, to honor his journey and the love he spread so generously. Full Military Honors at Floral Hill Cemetery in New London will follow. While we grieve the loss of such a remarkable man, we find comfort in knowing he is in the loving arms of the Lord, watching over us all.
A special thanks to his Great Granddaughter Kaitlyn Buckarma, thank you for the gentle, loving care you gave papa in his final days.
Rest in peace papa, we love you and we will remember what you said, "This is just a short vacation from each other; I will see you again in Heaven".
