Kenny Olson's Funeral Service Video

Kenneth "Kenny" Olson, age 70 of New London passed away peacefully battling cancer for over a year.  Kenny was born on December 10, 1953 in Phelps, WI to the late Norman and Carolyn (McFaul) Olson.  Kenny moved to New London at the age of 10 and went to New London Schools.  His working career started working with his father in the roofing business and then went on to work for 39 years at Emanuel Lutheran Church and School.  Years ago Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother and dad.  He loved singing, Polka music, watching Gunsmoke and The Three Stooges.  Kenny was a collector and was proud of his cookie jars, coffee mugs, salt and pepper shakers and his stuffed animal collection.  He was a Minnesota Vikings fan and supported the New London Bulldogs.

Kenny is survived by his siblings, Carol (Dennis) Steinberg, Myrl (Laurie) Olson and Anita Barrera and his nieces and nephews, Sara (Joseph) Krutke, Katrina (Brent) Smith, Eric (Christina) Barrera, Kelly (Chad) Besaw, Justin Humpa and Matthew Humpa and 21 great-nieces and nephews.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Ruben Barrera; nephew-in-law, Brian Malouf and great-nephew, Trevor Malouf.

The Funeral Service for Kenny will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
