Kenneth William Roberts, age 71 of New London, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.  Ken was born May 14, 1953 to William and Ardell (Mayland) Roberts in Graceville, MN.  Ken graduated from Graceville High School, University of Minnesota, Crookston and U of M, St. Paul.  He met the love of his life Harriet (Meyer) in Sunday School at Mt. Olive Lutheran in Graceville.  They were married at St. John's Lutheran in New Ulm, MN, on September 7, 1974.  Ken spent his working years in the agriculture industry.  He was an Ag Teacher, Managed Co-ops, and was a dairy rep for Land O Lakes.  He sold milking parlors for Bou-Matic, Germania and Westfalia Surge.  Ken even worked as an insurance adjuster and marketing rep for several crop insurance companies.

After moving to Wisconsin to be a regional sales manager for Bou-Matic, he purchased a hobby farm next to Mosquito Hill, where the family raised sheep, chickens and turkeys.  While raising his three boys, the family enjoyed spending time together camping, hobby farming (sending the kids to 4-H and the county fair) and traveling the country.Ken was an active supporter of the FFA and was an alumnus.  The family traveled from the Pacific Northwest to New England to the Grand Canyon to Disney World.  He loved going on the Camp Courage Wagon Trains.  In the mid '90's Ken & Harriet purchased The Print Shop and have been serving New London ever since.

After Ken retired, he loved going for coffee in the mornings with the "guys", attending bobble head nights at the Timber Rattlers and square dancing.  He was a member of Romeos and Calicos Square Dance Club and was a Pioneer 010 Square Dance Camper. He even went on several square dance cruises.  Ken and Harriet have been spending their winters in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for the past 12 years.  They also spent time traveling the world.  They have been to Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Spain, Italy and England. Ken and Harriet recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a trip to Norway (one of Ken's lifelong dreams).

Ken was proud of his seven grandchildren.  He was often seen sporting his grandparent shirts and bragging about their talents.  He always loved Grandparents' Day at the grandkids' schools.

Ken was unapologetic.  He was a big personality and grabbed life by the horns. He was very knowledgeable and would talk to anyone, educating them on various topics. He had a great love for his Savior, Jesus.  He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran, New London, for over 35 years and active in the ministry of Abiding Savior Lutheran, Wesleco, Texas.  He, also, often attended The Core in Appleton where he loved following their sermon series.

Ken is survived by his wife, Harriet; his sons Matthew (Jody), Philip, and Timothy; grandchildren Joshua (Sydney), Caleb & Kyrie, Isaac & Andrew, Sophia & Lucille; Mother-In-Law, Betty Meyer; Sisters Carol Curry and Sharon Bilben; brother Gerald (Susan) Roberts; Sister-In-Law Marcy (Wayne) Fluegge; Brother-In-Law Bradley (Patricia) Meyer and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his parents, and father-in-law, Arnold Meyer.

The Funeral Service for Ken will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating.  The visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New London.
