Kim Lillo's Memorial Service Video

Kim Michelle Lillo, age 58, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 after a five year battle with ovarian cancer. Kim was born on November 7, 1965 in Wausau, to the late Frederick and Joyce (Huhn) Krueger. She graduated from Northland Lutheran High School in 1984, and then from the University of Oshkosh in 1989, with a degree in Social Work. Kim married Joel Lillo on September 1, 1991 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Naugart (Rural Wausau).

Kim was a long time member of St. Paul's, Stephensville. She worked at Innovative Services in Appleton for over ten years. Kim devoted her life to her children. She became a surrogate mother for nieces, nephews and to the friends of her children. Kim loved gardening (flowers) and she volunteered in many school organizations including Lutheran Vanguard, FVL Band and Youth Orchestra. She never passed a mallard duck without shouting a friendly, "Hello, Mr. Mallard!" She truly never put herself above anyone else, even when she was very sick.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Joel; her children, Zachary (Aaryn) Lillo of West Milwaukee, WI, Jordan Lillo of Appleton, WI, Karenna (Zachary) Zills of West Allis, WI, Emily Lillo of Appleton, WI; her siblings, Kevin Krueger of Town of Hamburg, WI, Keith Krueger (Nancy Bowman) of New Orleans, LA, Kent (Kim) Krueger of Town of Hamburg, WI; in-laws, James and JoAnn Lillo of Watertown, WI, John (Jeanine) Lillo of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeffry (Julie) Lillo of Doral, Florida, Johanna (Jason) Dollard, Watertown, WI. She is further survived by nephews and nieces, Ryan Krueger, Konner Krueger, Keegan Krueger, Kyle Krueger, Jessi Lillo, Allison Lillo, David Lillo, Claire Lillo, Julianne Lillo, Joshua Lillo, and many, many good friends.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved cat, Homer; as well as about two dozen pets through the years.

Memorials will be given in Kim's name to Lutheran Vanguard of Wisconsin, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stephensville, and WisconSibs.

The family would like to thank the Cancer Center of St. Elizabeth, Compassus Hospice and members of St. Paul's.

The Funeral Service for Kim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January, 17, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stephensville. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
