Lance Lavern Martin, age 77 of New London, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at his home. Lance was born on November 19, 1947 to the late Vern and Alice (Fletcher) Martin. He served his country in the US Army, as a medical technician. In 1972 he returned to New London and started working at Bemis Curwood, as a swing shift worker on the floor. In 1993, Lance moved up to the front offices and was the single computer analyst for the Bemis Corporation in New London. He retired in 2010.  He married Debbie Prentice on July 24, 1982 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the Town of Lebanon. Lance enjoyed working on computers and repairing, building and tinkering with just about anything. His love for the outdoors led him to gardening and walking miles for enjoyment. He and Debbie loved to travel together.

Lance is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Andrew (Ashlee) Martin; grandson, Finnegan, along with his cousin, Pete.

Lance was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Holly Martin.

The Memorial Mass for Lance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating.  Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  Full military honors will be held at the church.  Burial will be at Royalton Cemetery, Town of Royalton.
