Lawrence Peterson Jr., age 70 of Manawa, formerly from New London, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at ThedaCare New London.  Lawrence was born on August 5, 1952 in Hortonville to the late Lawrence Sr. and Leona Peterson.  He was united in marriage to Cynthia Collar on September 14, 1974.  She preceded him in death in 2009.  He worked at Rich's Bakery and Saputo Cheese until his retirement.  Lawrence loved woodworking, cars, camping, being outdoors, putting puzzles together and he was always willing to help out his children.

Lawrence is survived by his children, Jenny (Jason) Davis, Brian Peterson and Justin (Tara) Peterson; grandchildren, Logan and Allison Davis and Mitchell and Autumn Peterson; his brothers, James, Paul and George; his sisters, Ida, Donna, Karen and Linda; brother-in-law, Daryl and sisters-in-law, Sharon and Jayne.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his brother, David; his sisters, Mary and Betty; his father and mother-in-law; brother-in-law, Larry and sister-in-law, Darlene.

The visitation for Lawrence will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The burial will take place following the visitation, at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London, where full military honors will be held.
