Leroy Strong's Memorial Service Video
Leroy R. Strong, age 76 of Clintonville, WI, passed away on January 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones from C.O.P.D complications and cancer. He was born on June 9, 1946, to the late Malen and Janet (Miller) Strong.
Leroy attended Shiocton High school and spent six years in the Army National Guard. On October 14, 1972, he was united in marriage to Patricia Plutz. They raised three children. Leroy worked for many years at Shiocton Lumber and then finished his working years at Torborgs Lumber in Clintonville. Leroy was always willing to help out any of his many relatives and friends when needed. He had a passion for putting puzzles together and making frames for them and doing woodworking. Leroy loved to hunt and fish and spend countless hours at the cottage of some of his dearest friends just reminiscing and having a cold beer or two.
He thought the world of his six grandchildren. Leroy is survived by his wife Pat of 50 plus years of marriage; his children Shane (Valerie) Strong, Scott (Amy) Strong, Shelley (Michael) Gilbert; his six grandchildren Bryanna, Hannah, Anastasia, Hunter, twins Levi and Paige; step-grandchildren Jessie and Travis. He is further survived by nephews Kevin Dey, and Doug (Laurie) Dey, and many relatives and special friends the whole Hanke bunch that were like a second family. He will be greatly missed by his companion Diesel. Leroy is preceded in death by his parents, sister Sharon (Lyle) Dey, a sister Barbara in infancy, brother-in-law John Plutz and sister-in-law Kathy Linsmeyer.
