Leta Pope's Memorial Mass Video Leta Mae Pope, age 85 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her residence. Leta was born on August 29, 1936 in Waushara County, daughter of the late Kermit and Margaret (Speers) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Noal Pope on June 2, 1956 at Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. He preceded her in death in 2016. Leta went to vocational school in Green Bay. She worked various jobs at Woody's Cheese Factory in Waupaca, as a secretary for the DA in Waupaca County, Larsen Canning Factory in Hortonville and as a para-educator and the STEP Program at New London Schools. Leta loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London.
Leta is survived by her children, Mark Pope, Pamela Armitage, Jeffrey Pope, Gregory Pope (Sara) and Teri Lemmens; grandchildren, Justin (Candie) Armitage, Melissa Larson, Brittany (Stephen) Sullivan, Beverly Pope (Luis), Zachary (Miranda) Casey, Nicholas (Ava) Casey, Jacob (Anna) Casey, and Savannah Lemmens (Scott); step-granddaughter, Cassie (Richard) Rupno; great-grandchildren, Zadyn, Aston, Croix, Stylez, Monroe, Tate, Lily, Brooklyn, Cody, Allie, Peyton "Addy", James, Logan, Evie, Ember, David, Kayleigh, Carter and Addy; niece, Cindy; nephew, Pat and brother-in-law, Gary (Janet) Pope and sister-in-law, Beverly Zindler. She is further survived by many nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Leta was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The Memorial Service for Leta will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. The visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery, town of Lind.
