February 14, 1947 – March 19, 2023
Linda Brouillard, age 76 of Hortonville, passed away peacefully at Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee on Sunday, March 19, 2023 surrounded by family. She shared 45 years with the love of her life, husband, Tom Brouillard.
Linda was born in Appleton, WI to Carl and Julia Pendergast on Valentines Day in 1947. She attended Kaukauna High School, and a brief period at the Racine Dominicans Convent in Racine, WI.
She retired from Appleton Papers in Appleton, WI in 2002 after 37 years of service. Linda started in the Sorting Department and finished her career on 17 Folio Sheeter. In 1972, early in Linda's career, she was instrumental in passing State of Wisconsin legislation securing paid maternity leave for working women. She was a longtime member of the St. Alberts Parish in Land O' Lakes, WI. In retirement, Linda and Tom volunteered much of their time to the church and to the Land O' Lakes community.
Linda enjoyed working outside in her yard, tending to her flowers. She had great faith in the Lord and cherished her Family. Linda looked forward to sending reflections to her family on a regular basis during Lent and Advent. She also loved having a weekly beer or margarita with her sisters out on the patio, or out on the dock. Linda was always the first call when anyone needed advice or someone to talk to.
Linda is survived by her husband and soul mate, Tom Brouillard, and 7 children, Amy (Greg) Penterman,
Diane Trice (significant other Tim), Dan (Laurie) Schmitz, Sandra Brouillard, Tracy (Andrew) Whitston, Thomas Brouillard, and Michael Brouillard (significant other Brenda), along with 15 grandchildren Tiffany, BreeAnne, Allison, Danielle, Abbey, Autumn, Alexandria, Lauren, Luke, Kyra, William, Amber, Austin, and Andrew, as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
Surviving siblings include Bob Pendergast, Diane Kelly, Patty Romenesko, Mary (Bob) Nack, and Tim Pendergast (significant other Ashley).
Linda was preceded in death by both of her parents; step-father, Jim Burns; brother, Tom Pendergast; brother-in-law, Jim Kelly; sister-in-law, Renita Pendergast, and granddaughters Bradeane Brouillard and Winter Brouillard.
Linda's last reflection from the 3 rd Sunday of Lent, "Short but sweet… I am so grateful for our family."
To honor Linda's wishes there will be a private memorial and burial. In memory of Linda, she would want you to honor her by doing a kind gesture to someone in need. God Bless.
