Mcfaul

Obituary

Linda C.(Kirk) McFaul, age 72, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 29th, 2025. She was born to Harold Sr. and June Kirk on May 3rd, 1953 on an air force base in South Dakota. Linda was an exceptional woman who was always helping and caring for others. Her biggest passions were sewing, animals, thrifting, traveling and her family. She first began sewing when she was four years old and if it involved a needle and thread, she worked at it and produced items too numerous to count. She always thought a handmade gift was the greatest treasure and she certainly gave the best ones. She loved sharing her sewing and crafting gifts with others and many individuals found themselves on the receiving end of her talents either as gifts or the many alterations and fixings she did.

Throughout her life, Linda was known for her caring and generous spirit. She worked for the School District of New London for 21 years as a paraeducator and loved her time there, especially the time she spent in the 4k classroom. She retired at age 62 and moved right into taking care of two of her grandchildren. Throughout her life she was involved in many volunteer opportunities and gave her dedication to Mosquito Hill by way of her crafts, and to the Wolf River Theater as a dresser and costumer. She also spent some time volunteering for the Appleton PAC. Other causes that received her time, talents, or treasures included anything to do with animals, nature, feeding others, warming others, or just being a friend to those around her.

Some of Linda's most cherished memories were traveling with her family. Her favorite trips of recent times were traveling around two of the great lakes with her daughter Tiffany's family and a trip to Texas with daughter Joleen and her family.

Linda was also an animal whisperer as it seemed she could get any animal to find calm by her. As a youth, she loved riding and driving horses, and as she got older she loved doting on her cats and grandpuppies. If it was one of God's creatures, she loved it.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, June, her father, Harold Sr., a son, Richard, a grandson, Harley, and her sister, Sandra.

Linda will be missed by many loved ones. She is survived by her three daughters Angela(Wayne) Frank, Tiffany(Tim) Schulz, and Joleen(Joe) Nutter, five grandchildren, Brett(Dakota) Hanlan, Martina Hanlan, Sebastian(Samantha) Hanlan, Blair Schulz, Briley Schulz, and 10 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her step-mother, Mary Kirk, her brothers, Harold Jr.(Freddie) Kirk, and Danny(Lori) Kirk, and her sisters Kathy(Brian) Kern and Patti(John) Rutzinski, father of her children, Tom McFaul, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends who were so special. Finally she is survived by her three cats, Pumpkin, Pip and Pearl, and her four granddogs.

In keeping with her wishes, there will not be a service. A celebration of life has been planned for Sunday, May 3, 2026 from Noon until 3:00 p.m. at Bean City Bar and Grill, N2505 Bean City Rd, New London, WI 54961. In honor of Linda, please come dressed in Kentucky Derby attire, ready to share stories and memories of this incredible woman who touched the lives of so many.

Linda would want those who loved her to donate their time, talent and treasures to the same things she cared for. Her family hopes those who loved her will spend a moment as Linda would. Take some extra time to enjoy the beautiful earth around you, take care of the animals and people around you, and use your talents to make something wonderful or to volunteer.
