Lois Kleiber's Memorial Mass Video
Lois Jean Kleiber, age 76 of New London passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at ThedaCare Hospital in Waupaca after a courageous battle with cancer. Lois was born on October 18, 1947 in Wausau to the late Bernard and Ellen (Huntington) Richards. Lois graduated from Wausau Senior High School with the Class of 1965. She was united in marriage to James Kleiber on October 28, 1967 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wausau and together they celebrated 57 loving years of marriage. Lois was employed at Curwood/Bemis until her retirement. She looked forward to spending time at their cottage and sitting around the campfire telling stories, laughing and being with her family creating many memories. She loved trips to the casino and playing the slots. Lois always supported her grandchildren and attended all of their concerts, games and activities. She could be found playing games on her tablet in her free time. Lois' pride and joy were her grandchildren and Boxer dogs, especially, Auggie.
Lois is survived by her loving husband, James; sons, James Jr. (Mary Jo), John (Kathy) and Lawrence (Ann) Kleiber and grandchildren, Makayla, Colton, Brooklyn, Grace, Genevieve, Anna, Ava and Emma and her siblings, Ann M. Quaschnick and Bernard J. Richards. She is further survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, John and Lila Kleiber; her siblings, Debbie (Francis) Moeller and Ronald Richards; brother-in-law, Dwight Quaschnick and sister-in-law, Sue Richards.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends for Lois on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. The Memorial Mass for Lois will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Wausau with Fr. Samuel Martin officiating. There will be a visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.
In lieu of flowers, any money will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to ThedaCare Hospice, ThedaCare Cancer Team, Dr. Renae Schuler, and the Waupaca Regional Medical Center Nurses and staff.
