Lois Klika's Funeral Mass Video
Lois M. (Diermeier) Klika, age 94 of New London, formerly of Fremont and Readfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Lois was born on December 19, 1928, the first of seven children in Jackson, MN to the late Anthony and Mary (Nussbaum) Diermeier. The family moved to Wisconsin when she was three years old. Lois graduated from Shiocton High School as class valedictorian and after graduation was employed by Wisconsin Telephone Company. After marriage, she was busy raising her family and was co-owner of R&L Berry Farm. In later years she was employed by Churney, Inc. until her retirement. Lois was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and Cursillo. Family and friends were the most important part of her life. She enjoyed traveling, taking photos, Polka music, reading, crossword puzzles and eating at buffets.
Lois is survived by her children, Robert (Barb) Klika of Athelstane, Dan (Barb) Klika of Waukesha, Gary (Cheri) Klika of Little Chute, Richard (Joan) Klika of Menasha, Mary (Tim) Oatman of Maple Grove, MN and David (Kathy) Klika of Fish Creek; sisters, Alice (Ed) Hartfiel and Dorothy (Alvin) Kramer; brother, James (Jackie) Diermeier; grandchildren, Karen (Phil) Huebner, Rachel Klika (fiancé, Reid), Tom (Meredith) Klika, Melinda (Charles) Vanderheiden, Jennifer Klika, Chad (Janel) Klika, Gary (Julie) Klika, Melanni (Chad) Schwab, Trish (Shaun) Knuth, Eric (Amy) Peters, Brian (Steph) Peters, Aubrey Oatman, Keri (Tim) Lore and Kevin Klika; great-grandchildren, Emily, Leo, Henry, Sophia, Carson, Julius, Marcus, Dale, Jacob, Ethan, Kenny, J.J., Samantha, Savanna, Connor, Emmaline, Sebastian, Vivienne, Esme, Freddy, Etta and Laura Jean; sisters-in-law, Nancy Diermeier and Ethel Diermeier and numerous nieces and nephews. She is further survived by special friends Sandy and Marti.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Bobby; one sister, Margie (John) Kramer; two brothers, Clarence Diermeier and Jerome (Sue) Diermeier and former husband, Roland "Ron" Klika.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Lois will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
We will forever be grateful for the kind and loving employees at St. Joseph Residence and Compassus Hospice, who not only provided compassionate care for Mom, but also cared for our family.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to St. Joseph Residence, Compassus Hospice or the New London Food Pantry.
