Lorraine Latza's Funeral Service Video

Lorraine Henrietta (Roe) Latza, age 93 of New London, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Trinity Terrace in New London.  Lorraine was born on August 27, 1929 in Forestburg, South Dakota to the late Roy and Emma (Frahm) Gerdts.  She married her first husband John "Jack" Roe, he preceded her in death, and she then married Joe Latza, who also preceded her in death.  Lorraine was fondly known as the doll lady because of her vast collection of over 400 dolls.  She worked at St. Joseph Residence as a nurse's aide for many years.  Lorraine served her country in the US Air Force and worked at the Pentagon for several years.  She was a member of the Twins Club and the Doll Club.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Jan (Mike) Brestel; sons, Jay (Sharon) Roe, Jac (Ann) Roe, Tim (Tracy) Roe, Tom (Diane) Roe and Joe (Tamara) Roe; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eldon and Harlan and great-grandsons, Raymon and David.

The funeral service for Lorraine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Pastor Kenneth Rodrigue officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London where full military honors will be held.
