Luis' Funeral service Video

Dr. Luis Galang, age 96, passed peacefully at his home on November 4th, 2023.

Luis was born in the Philippines, graduating from the University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine in Manila. He came to the United States for a medical internship and residencies. He was proud to become a United States citizen, with a profound appreciation for the American's help and sacrifices during the war in the Philippines.

Medicine and family were his life and love.  Dr. Galang practiced in New London for many years; deeply caring for all his patients and treating everyone as family.  Luis loved nothing more than entertaining and cooking for his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his wife (Anna), children: Anthony (Jennifer); Ferdinand (Jennifer), Christopher, and Regina (Karl); grandchildren; Alexandra, Gabriel, Henry, Christian, Sidney, Samuel, Alexa, Gianna, Anton, Vincent, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

The Funeral Mass for Luis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A private burial will be in the parish cemetery.
