Mandy O'Brien of New London passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family. Mandy was born in Burns, OR on March 18, 1975, to Victor and Barbara Huffman. After graduating from college, she moved around the Midwest eventually returning to the New London area with her children, Morgan and Stephen. Mandy was fortunate to reconnect and build a life in New London with the love of her life, Trez Haire.

Mandy brought joy to so many with her sunny disposition and optimism. During her life she carefully curated a very special group of people to surround herself with. People she passionately loved and trusted. She really enjoyed a good time and spent hours around the fire pit telling stories and reminiscing.

All throughout her battle with cancer her optimism and positivity remained infectious. Though her spirit and will were strong, her body was unable to continue its fight. A true friend and beacon of light, Mandy lost her battle with neuroendocrine carcinoma on June 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Mandy walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the lives of everyone she encountered with an unforgettable grace. Whatever she did, she did with her own unique flair. Her passing will without a doubt leave a giant void in many people's lives, though she will never truly leave our hearts.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Don and June Huffman, her maternal grandparents Joe and Charlotte Bugni, and her mother Barbara Huffman. She is survived by her father Victor Huffman, her sisters Katie (Jon) Cronick and Sara Huffman, her life partner Trez Haire, her children Morgan and Stephen O'Brien, her step-children Zaden and Aerianna, and many other family members and friends.
