Obituary

Marceedas Lorraine Sullivan, Age 97, of New London passed away on February 10, 2023, at New London, following a short illness. She was born in Crandon, WI on October 1, 1925, to the late Albert and Marie (Nordwig) Wedde. As a young child she moved with her family to Clintonville where she graduated from Clintonville High School. Marceedas was united in marriage to James T. Sullivan on December 27, 1945 at St. Mary Church in Bear Creek. After their marriage, Marcee and Jim moved to New London, where they raised their children. She was an active member at Most Precious Blood Church. Marcee worked for Knappstein's Brewery, Hamilton's Canning Factory and for 47 years as a clerk for Markman's Department Store and volunteered as a Girl Scout co-leader, teacher's helper in the Home Economics Department for New London School System, served meals at the local VFW Post and funeral dinners at Most Precious Blood. She also joined others from her church to pray the rosary at funerals. She enjoyed gardening (especially her love of roses), cooking, sewing, taking trips up north and playing cards.

Marcee is survived by her children: Terry (Jean) Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Sally (Dale) Bellile and Steve (Shelly) Sullivan; grandchildren: Scott Bellile, Brenda (Mike) Konow, Rebecca Bellile, Nicole (Eric) Burmeister, Matthew Sullivan, Heather Buntrock, Spencer Niemann and Reece Niemann; great-grandchildren: Krista, Samantha, Tyler, Alexandra, Maeven, Gage, Yasmine and Kaitlin: step-great-grandchildren: Brittany and Dylan: great-great grandchildren: Kendall, Kaydence, Wyatt, Adalynn, Eloise, Ashton and new baby due in April. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Carol Wedde; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Marcee was preceded in death by her husband: Jim; her parents: Albert (Marie) Wedde; father and mother-in-law: Charles (Julia) Sullivan; daughter-in-law: Barbara Sullivan; brothers: Earl Wedde, Vernon (Gladys) Wedde and Leroy Wedde; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack (Rosie) Sullivan, David (Beverly) Sullivan, Charles (Marie) Sullivan, Bill (Mary Jane) Sullivan and Marcus Sullivan; sisters-in-law: Elaine (Jay) Gough and Alice (Mayford) Kosmerchock.

The family would like to thank her caregivers from ThedaCare Medical Center New London, ProMedica Health and St. Joseph Care Facility and special friend Geri for the special care and love they gave mom.

The funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Cline Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.   Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London.
