Marjorie Dreier's Funeral Mass Video Marjorie K. Dreier, age 97, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 20, 1924, at her home in New London daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn (McDermott) Popke. On July 3, 1945, Marge was united in marriage to William Dreier. Marge was a lifetime resident of New London and a life member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. She was also a life member of the American Legion and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliaries. She was a very social person, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends and a good fish fry. Marge loved loons, lighthouses, cardinals and flower gardening; especially gladiolas and lilacs. Marge loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her children: Donna (Larry) Svetnicka, Linda (Steve) Krueger, Nicholas (Gail) Dreier, Laurel Schwerbel, and Noell Dreier; grandchildren: Carrie (Tim) Moede, Cathy (Scott) McFarlane, Adam Svetnicka, Travis Krueger, Wendy Krueger (Joe Steier Jr.), Aaron (Katie) Krueger, Eric (Nicole) Dreier, Ashley Dreier, and Jasen Bleick (Andrea Radtke); and 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, a brother Donald, sisters Mary Jane Boehm and Rosellan Beyer.
Funeral Mass for Marge will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m., and also at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
