Marian Sanders' Funeral Service Video

Marian Elizabeth Sanders, age 100 of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Appleton Retirement Community. Marian was born on March 27, 1922, in Sugarbush to the late William and Elizabeth (Ruckdashel) Hoffman.  She was united in marriage to Orville Sanders on February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2012.  Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage.  Marian loved sports, needlework, crossword puzzles, reading, and above all, Marian loved her family.  She was the secretary at Emanuel Lutheran Church for 12 years, including several years as District Secretary of Ladies Aid.

Marian is survived by her sons: Tom (Ila) Sanders and John (Jeanne) Sanders: grandchildren, Scott (Carrie) Jill (John), Todd (Lisa), Lisa (Craig), Craig (Tammy), and Rachel (Mike):  great-grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan, Natalie, Addison, Allie, Michael, Caylee, Kiara, Blake, Abby, Ruby, Rex, Lilli, Micah, and many nieces and nephews.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Irma (Clayton) Landwer, Neva (Clarence) Stuebs, Orlin (Jeanette) Hoffman, Karl (Ruth) Hoffman and Donald (Lucianna) Hoffman, and brother-in-law, Gerald (Valois) Sanders.

The funeral service for Marian will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating.   The visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until her time of the service.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Town of Caledonia.
