Marilyn Dorn's Funeral Mass Video

Marilyn M. Dorn, age 84, of Hortonville, Town of Dale, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Brewster Village in Appleton.  Marilyn was born on April 8, 1939 daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret (DeWeert) Van Ryen.  On September 13, 1958 she married Jerome Dorn at St. Augustine Parish, Township of Harrison.  Marilyn worked as a secretary at Rawhide, as well at Nash Finch and Appleton Papers.  She was a 50 plus year member of the Beta Sigma Phi Professional Women's Sorority.  She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and faithfully served on the Parish Council of Christian Women, serving funeral lunches and volunteering at the MPB Resale Shop.  Marilyn enjoyed bowling and golfing, and kept herself busy crafting, sewing and gardening.  She loved making raspberry jam and hot cross buns.

Marilyn is survived by her children; Joseph (Debra) Dorn, Julie Wolfgram, Jonathan Dorn and Jennifer Cain; grandchildren: Elisabeth (Andrew) Montgomery, Tamara (William) Mallon, Margaret (Chris Olson) Wolfgram, Rebekah Wolfgram, Samuel Bornitzke, Michaela (Harry) Allen, Tristan Dorn, Braxton Dorn, Carter Dorn, Krystal (Braden) Paulson and Jacob (Zoe) Steinberg; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Cynthia) Van Ryen, Nancy Scholz, Janice Juedes and Kathy (George) Wawrzyniak and sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Dorn) Koerner and Beatrice (Dorn) Otto and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; parents; two brothers-in-law, George Sholz and John Juedes and her husband's many siblings and their spouses.

The Funeral Mass for Marilyn will be held on at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
