Marilyn D. Seefeld, age 74 of New London, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at ThedaCare in Appleton.  Marilyn was born on December 2, 1949 in New London to the late Clarence and Virginia (Marten) Seefeld.  Many folks in New London will remember Marilyn as the "Kirby Lady".  For many years she owned the Kirby Store.  She then sold shoes in Champaign, IL and finally came back to the area and took a job as a caregiver in an area group home.  Marilyn always was a "saleswoman" and drove a hard bargain.  She was an animal lover and held dear her dogs.  Marilyn had a distinct laugh that could be heard in a crowd of 100 people.  She loved to be happy and see others happy!

Marilyn is survived by her siblings, Kathy Walrath, Carol (Bob) Young, Randy (special friend, Ashley) Seefeld and Roger Seefeld; nieces and nephews, Dave Walrath, Doug Walrath, Debbie (Brian Davis) Walrath, Dan (Stacy) Walrath, Renee Young, Lisa (Jeremy) Schmoll and Amy (Bryan) Schultz and her three dogs, Fin, Bailey and Sam.  She is further survived by several great-nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve Seefeld; nephews, Don Walrath and Kevin Young.

The Funeral Service for Marilyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Shepherd of the River Lutheran Church, 616 W. Wolf River Ave, New London on Friday, March 15, 2024 with Pastor Larry Bong officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Thursday, March 14, 2024, and again on Friday at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at St. Johns Cemetery, Town of Caledonia.
