Marjorie's Funeral Service Video

Marjorie Mae Grimmer, age 87 of New London, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at St. Joseph Residence.  Marjorie was born on February 24, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Henry and Viola (Doll) Meyer.  She married Charles Grimmer Sr. on February 27, 1954 in Waukegan, IL.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  Marjorie was a devout member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.  She liked doing puzzle books, crossword puzzles, listening to country music and watching the cooking channel.  Marjorie formerly worked as a cook at various restaurants in the New London area and also at the Hortonville Toy Factory.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Mary (Peter) Kloc, Margie (Herman) Petit, Charles Grimmer Jr. (significant other, Donna), Robert (Chris) Grimmer and Patricia Cooper; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her siblings, Norma Wolf, Judith (Lee) Shaw, Lorraine Roland, Sandra (Don) Roberts and Elizabeth Allen.  She is further survived by Kaylene Grimmer, who Marjorie thought of as her own daughter.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband; infant son, Lester; daughter, Doris; sisters, Diane Sauer,  Mary Popke and Betty Jane Wahlberg; brothers, Arnold and Robert Meyer; granddaughter, Venus Myer; son-in-law, Gary Cooper and brothers-in-law, Eugene Wolf and James Allen.

The Funeral Service for Marjorie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
