Mary Gallow's Memorial Service Video
Mary T. Gallow, age 91, New London, passed away September 19, 2024. She was born August 5, 1933 to John and Mary (Kresel) Paiser and was raised on their family farm in Leopolis, WI. On November 29, 1952 she married the love of her life, Alfred V. Gallow in Hortonville, WI.
Mary was a talented gardener; her flowers were admired by all. She loved music and dancing, cooking for friends and family, bowling, crocheting and reading. As a passionate and knowledgeable Packer fan, Mary loved talking about her two "boyfriends" Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Mary and Al spent many weekends traveling to the Northwoods with their children where they had a cottage on a lake. Many fish were caught and her fish frys were famous and loved by her family and friends. They also spent many years traveling to Texas for the winter, eventually turned their cottage into their home.
Always the life of the party, Mary loved to tell jokes. The best part was her laughter throughout the story which often impaired her ability to finish the joke. Her laughter became our favorite part of her witty jokes.
Most of all Mary loved her family and created a meaningful connection with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She baked special treats, prepared elaborate meals, and took kids fishing, laughed around campfires and just loved being surrounded by her loved ones.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Alfred; two daughters and sons in law, Debbie and Kevin Freund (Fond du Lac) and Vicky and Jack Schmidt (New London); one son and daughter in law, Dan and Sandy Gallow (New London); seven grandchildren, Tracie (Chad) Toth, Jaimee Mullenix, Andy Gallow, Kristy (Casey) Herzig, Trevor (Lana) Diem, Angela (Ben) Diem and Jacob (Kenzi) Schmidt; thirteen great–grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews along with in laws, Philip and Barbara Gallow and Chuck (Kathy) Clary.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Randy and Ricky Gallow; five brothers, John (Lucille) Paiser, Victor, Marvin, Gordon (Laverne) and Lawrence (Eleanor); four sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Radzik, Angie (Al) Muraski, Florence (Wilbur) Roggenbach and Regina (George) Campbell and in laws, Ralph and Dorothy Gallow, Mona and Charles Schaefer and Donna Clary.
Our family wishes to thank the staff at Trinity Terrace and Moments Hospice for the wonderful care and love she received.
