Mary Ann (Mathe) Hanson, age 89 passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Brewster Village in Appleton WI. Mary Ann was born on October 10, 1933, in Oshkosh to the late Frank and Margaret (Kempinger) Mathe. She grew up in Oshkosh where she met the love of her life Robert (Bob) Hanson. They were married on October 9, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1975. They spent most of their married life in Clintonville where she helped raise many young children during her babysitting years. Their summers were spent in Boulder Junction, WI. After Bob's death, she worked for Fr LeRoy Smet in Phlox and Winneconne WI until settling in New London near her daughter and son-in-law. Mary Ann loved sewing, crocheting, cooking, camping, fishing and especially watching her grandson and granddaughter in their sports. She was always there for them.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter Roxanne (Larry) Beyer, New London, grandson Travis Beyer, West Sacramento CA, and great-grandchildren Isabella, Charlotte, Emmastasia and Liam Beyer. Grandson-in-law, Craig (Audrah) Langenhuizen. Also many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law Sue Hanson.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Mary Mathe, her husband Robert Hanson, mother and father-in-law Nels and Nina Hanson, granddaughter Traci (Beyer) Langenhuizen and friend Fr LeRoy Smet. Sister Elizabeth (Betty) Bracken, sister-in-laws Monica Hanson, Caroline Garvaglia, Laurie Nass, brother-in-laws Donald Hanson, Raymond Garvaglia, Roger Nass, Charles Hanson.

We would like to thank everyone at ThedaCare Hospice and Brewster Village that took such great care of mom in her final days.

Per Mary Ann's wishes, there will be no funeral.

A celebration of life will be planned for July when her grandson and great-grandchildren are home.
