Mary Ann Romberg, 74, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away on August 30, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. Mary Ann was born July 27, 1948 to Joseph J. and Dorothy R. (Nelson) Lesinski of St. Louis, MO.  She was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church in St. Louis.  She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Frontenac, Mo in 1966.  She attended classes at University of Missouri St. Louis.

Mary Ann married John E. Romberg on May 2, 1970 at Immanual Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO and together they moved to New London. Mary Ann always worked in the administrative area.  She last worked at Bemis before retiring in 2013.  She was a dedicated mother, and grandmother.  She also enjoyed playing golf, as well as bridge.  First party bridge and then transitioned into duplicate bridge playing in many tournaments.  She became a Life Master in 2014.  Mary Ann became a director and ran games for the Fox Valley Bridge Club.  She supported the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Bridge Association as a board member, and president as well as representative for District 13.

Mary Ann is survived by her children; Margo Romberg (James Wickstrom), Karla (Leon) Olson and John Harvey Romberg (Kelly Nagorny); four grandchildren, Sawyer and Sophie Olson, Charli and Seth Romberg; her sisters, Judy (Tony) Taschler, Jane (Bill) Schneider and brothers, Joe (Martha) Lesinski and Dan (Cindy) Lesinski.  She is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Bruce Romberg and niece, Susan Taschler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the church.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary Ann's name to the Emanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
