Melvin Arthur Niemuth, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the age of 90.

Melvin was born in New London, Wisconsin on December 11, 1935 to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Sigl) Niemuth. He married Rosemary Bessette on February 5, 1955 in Manawa and they had two daughters, Susan and Diane. Rosemary was laid to rest in 2008.

Melvin loved working on his farm. He also loved to fish and ride horses.

Melvin is survived by his daughters, Susan (Gerald) Doede and Diane (Patrick) Hunter; grandchildren, Ricky Doede, Stacey (Jamie) Chmielewski, Scott Doede, and Andy (Laura) Doede; great grandchildren, Kiefer Chmielewski, Paige Doede, Ryan Doede, and Walker Chmielewski.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary; and his brother, Kenneth Niemuth.

Funeral services will not be held per Melvin’s wishes.
