Michael's Funeral Service Video

On Saturday, February 13 ^th , 2021, Michael J. Becker, loving husband, and father, passed away at the age of 56.  Michael was born on October 23 ^rd , 1964 in Beaver Dam, WI to Eugene and Julienne (Collard) Becker.  He grew up in Juneau and graduated from Dodgeland High School in 1983 and the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1987, where he received his degree in communications. While in Stevens Point, he met his future wife Laura Ann Benzel during their freshmen year and they married on September 8 ^th , 1990.  Their greatest accomplishment in life was raising their two amazing sons, Nicholas and John.

Michael worked in corrugated paper sales before starting his own legal process serving business in 1996. This decision allowed him to work out of the house and be a stay-at-home father for both his sons. Mike got his love of travel from his dad and there was always a trip he was planning; whether a cross-country road trip in the Suburban, cruising in the Caribbean and Alaska, or riding his Harley out to Sturgis. Music was always important to Michael and he had the opportunity to travel to Austria and Germany to sing while in high school. He was always up for an adventure; whether RV-ing, exploring craft breweries, or just spending an afternoon on his big green John Deere tractor. His faith and family were the foundation of his life. His strong work ethic, unique humor and one-of-a-kind laugh left a lasting memory to all who knew him.

He is forever remembered by his loving wife Laura of Hortonville, his dear sons, Nicholas and John of Greenville, his sisters, Brenda Murphy of Beaver Dam, Nancy (Karl) Stubenvoll of Fish Creek, Mary Jo (John) Van Grinsven of Appleton, and Marcy Becker of Appleton, his brother, Mark Becker of Appleton, father and mother-in-law, William and Patricia Benzel of Watertown, brother-in-law, Glenn Benzel of Watertown, his nieces and nephews, Sarah (Todd) Rollman, Katie Murphy, Mark (Lindsay) Murphy, Michael and Elizabeth Stubenvoll, Nicole, Danielle and Christiana Van Grinsven, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, (712 S Pearl St, New London) at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation for Michael will be held at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home (209 W Cook St, New London) from 12 – 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021, and also at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London.
