Michael "Hair" James Braun, age 70 of Shiocton, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at his residence.  Mike was born on May 22, 1952 in Appleton to the late Joseph and Adeline (LeCaptain) Braun.  He was united in marriage to Sonja Bessette on May 16, 1982.  Mike and his wife Sonja owned and operated Mike & Sonja's Bar in Shiocton for over 38 years.  He loved camping and sitting by the water drinking his Pabst Blue Ribbon.  Mike was an avid pool player and loved telling the story of when he beat Buzz Farmer.  He had an obsession with solar lights.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sonja; children, Michael Braun Jr. and Charles Braun (special friend, Cindy); sisters-in-law, Kathy Braun, Jeno (Jack) Bast, Glenda Knorr and Cindy (Jeff) Rohloff and brothers-in-law, Joseph (Connie) Bessette and Mitchell (Dawn) Bessette.  He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and very dear friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Peter; mother and father-in-law, Jacqueline and Merlin Bessette; brother-in-law, Jack Knorr and nephew, John Knorr Jr.

The Memorial Service for Mike will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the backyard of Mike & Sonja's Bar in Shiocton, with Rev. Michael Isbill officiating.  A Celebration of Mike's life will be held in Mike & Sonja's Bar following the service.
