Michael Mech, age 61, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025.  Michael was born on July 22, 1963 in New London to Richard and Betsy (Krake) Mech.  He lived in Greenville, Wisconsin and The Villages in Florida.  Michael graduated from Kaukauna High School and went on to attend Fox Valley Technical College, earning his degree in Architecture Design.  He proudly designed his own floor plan to make his home handicap accessible.  Michael was employed at Galaxy Science & Hobby, as an inventory controller.  In addition to that, he had his own website selling Proxxon Hobby Tools and a business called Valley Computer Sales.  Michael loved to go to Disney World and had an annual pass to visit as often as he wished. Florida was his happy place and enjoyed participating in all the activities that The Villages offered.  Three Lakes, Wisconsin was another favorite destination of his.  His father made a special lift at the cottage to get Michael into the boat so they could go fishing together.  Michael's travels took him many places with his family.  Some included NBC Studios in California, where he met Johnny Carson and Jimmy Stewert, the Dakotas to see Flintstone City, Talladega NASCAR races in Alabama, Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mount Rushmore, Hershey Pennsylvania, to visit the chocolate factory and Washington DC and the White House.  Michael even got to meet Jerry Lewis in Green Bay!

Michael is survived by his parents; uncle, Leon (Darlene) Krake and aunt, Judy (Don) Vanden Burgt.  He is further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Mech; grandparents, Kenneth and Frieda Krake; paternal grandmother, Leona Mech; uncle, Donald Krake and cousin, Justin Ernst.

The Funeral Service for Michael will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and critical care team at Shand's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Donations can be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
